Cyprus, 9th April 2021 – CYBER RANGES™, a software platform by Silensec for the development of cyber capabilities through continuous user interaction, and CYNET-CSIRT which provides incident response and security services to all Cyprus Academic Institutions, Research Institutes and educational networks that are members of the Cyprus Research & Academic Network (CYNET), have agreed on a joint cyber exercise.

CYNET-CSIRT has chosen CYBER RANGES by Silensec to advance its services offering. CYBER RANGES provides its customers with a suite of tools offering highly realistic scenarios, increasing the precision, diversity and interactivity of its training and cyber exercises. The CYBER RANGES platform runs live simulations of real IT (Information Technology) or OT (Operational Technology) environments and helps cyber professionals progress in crisis situations such as intrusion detection, network protection or incident response. CYNET-CSIRT provides incident response and security services to all Cyprus Academic Institutions, Research Institutes and educational networks that are members of the Cyprus Research & Academic Network (CYNET). It also provides early warning, alerts, announcements and dissemination of information to its constituency and relevant parties regarding risks and incidents. This is accomplished by acting as an intermediary between affected parties and offering, when required, technical advice leading to the resolution of the incident. The affected parties may be internal or external entities to CYNET.
