Zero-day Attack

A Zero-day Attack is a newly discovered vulnerability in a software, and for which a patch has not yet been released by the vendor of the device or software. For systems which are still under active support by their vendors, patches for zero days are usually released pretty fast, but for systems no longer supported, this may depend on the criticality of the vulnerability
