CYBER RANGES by Silensec will power the CTF at Hacker Halted 2020, this year’s virtual edition of a series of computer and information security conferences presented by EC-Council. The objective of the Hacker Halted conference, which was held in Atlanta, GA (USA) last year, is to raise international awareness towards increased education and ethics in IT security.
“We are set – together with our fellow-sponsors, including IBM and several other important industry players – to deal with a very large number of cyber security enthusiasts. We are very confident about the scalability and orchestration of our CYBER RANGES cloud-based platform and the field-hardened experience of our CTF team”, says Dr. Al Graziano, CEO of CYBER RANGES, the wholly owned subsidiary of cyber security company Silensec. Al is a leading cyber range authority with the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO).
“The CTF we have prepared for the Hacker Halted contenders is a jeopardy of various difficulty levels. It will cover Web Reverse Engineering, Binary Exploitation, Crypto, Forensics, IOT, OSINT … and some pen-testing scenarios with real-world apps” says Marcello Hinxman-Allegri, Head of Marketing & Business Development “Each challenge can have one or more vulnerabilities, so players may have to chain multiple bugs to catch the flag!”
